Mineral Make-Up

Make your skincare regime au naturale without sacrificing quality with these ingenious yet natural products.

Over the years many natural ingredients have filtered their way into the mainstream beauty industry. Check out the ingredients of the lotions and potions in your bathroom cabinet and you'll see plants such as rose, lavender and tea tree regularly giving a helping hand in moisturisers, face oils and masks.

Many beauty junkies believe completely natural products simply don't give the same impressive results as their synthetic, chemically balanced siblings. So we've made it our mission to find the best products that use what Mother Nature has given, without compromising on results.

Home-grown skin savers

This banquet of natural ingredients is perfect for correcting an array of skin disorders

Rose
The most romantic of all flowers has excellent hydrating properties to help the skin stay soft and fight dehydration. The stimulating action of the plant fights ageing and helps maintain a soft, dewy and youthful complexion.

Lavender
Nature's antiseptic, lavender oil can be used to treat acne, psoriasis, and other inflammations. It heals wounds, cuts, burns and sunburn rapidly as it helps to form scar tissue.

Tea Tree Oil
Another natural antiseptic, tea tree oil is also an anti-fungal agent and is used to treat acne and candidiasis and studies have shown it can even help with some skin viruses such as chicken pox and coldsores.

Aloe Vera
Five anti-inflammatory agents in aloe vera work together to relieve pain, reverse scarring and speed healing which making it excellent for treating burns, acne, psoriasis, insect bites and inflammation.

Honey
Natural antioxidant properties in honey protect skin from sun damage and support the skin's ability to rejuvenate depleted skin. It contains sun protection properties to soothe and protect the lips from becoming chapped in cold and dry weather and also absorbs impurities from pores, making it an ideal cleansing agent.

Olives
Used by the Greeks for hundreds of years, this natural moisturiser mixes well with water and attracts moisture to the skin, helping to hold it in. Plus with an oxidation rate that is lower than your natural skin, it is a perfect ingredient to fight oxidation.
