the verdict: My regular facialist Gwen Giorla from True Solutions International recommended I try the Decléor Sauna Facial she designed to give my skin a change from my usual cosmeceutical-focused treatments. The idea was to give my skin a more relaxing, cocooning and nourishing experience with French aroma-skincare specialist Decléor, which is known for its holistic approach.

True Solutions national training manager Julie Ward began my treatment with the decadent body Sauna Mask, where the warm, milky texture of aromatic papaya enzymes and the creamy French white clay was drizzled along my spine. The smoothing, softening properties moisturise, brighten and deep cleanse. The combination gently heated on my skin as Julie administered the medium-strength Signature Back Diagnostic Massage, followed by pressure point and lymph drainage techniques focusing on the meridians of my back.

The treatment continued onto my face, neck and décolleté, using products from the Decléor range tailored to my specific skin concerns.

Cosmeceuticals get me results, but Julie explains that my skin needed some replenishing. She applied the D'elage Triple Action Gel Cream Mask and the Decléor Aromaplastie (professional mask) over my face, which is a warm and weighty mix of crushed linseeds and wheatgerm for soothing and hydrating.

The formulation is warmed up for extra absorption, but the experience of having your face covered in the balmy mixture is pleasant and comforting. While the mask was working its magic, I was treated to an arm massage that soothed my pilates-weary arms to perfection.

A blissful facial massage using Decléor Neroli Aromaessence oil for hydration, healing and decongesting, followed by Decléor Regenerating Balm, worked the pressure points on my face.

This facial offers wonderful results for relaxation away from the hubbub of every day life. It gave my skin a well-needed hydration boost and some tender loving care. It was a blessed 75 minutes of wellbeing and sheer indulgence.
